The Pickens plan

Monday, July 14th, 2008

Is T. Boone Pickens plan too aggressive or is it too short sighted? Like all good plans this one will evolve over time, but is it too short sighted to do the United States any good in the short term? I think Mr. Pickens plan needs to be expanded while it is fresh and innovative, and more importantly while it is a hot topic in congress. If you have any aspirations of cleaning up our environment then judge the plan for yourself at Pickens Plan or the official website.

I sincerely hope that Mr. Pickens new venture is a booming success, but I have my doubts about what is really driving this new business. Hopefully Mr. Pickens will have larger aspirations about cleaning the air we all breath and he will leave a lasting legacy as the man who succeeded where others wouldn’t.

Not an eco-Nazi

Monday, June 30th, 2008

Despite what some of your comments may suggest, I am not an eco-Nazi. If you bothered to read anything that has been written on this site you would clearly know how far from the truth that is. In fact I would say that I am just a dreamer, who dreams of better days. So with those infamous words I am going to make Ozzy Osborne’s song Dreamer the official song of this website. Some people may think it is strange that Ozzy would be singing a song like this, but it would only be because they have never listened to him. Ozzy has been singing about togetherness and bigotry for a very long time, most people just don’t realize it.

One of the categories for this site is “together”, because I really do believe that together we can make a difference. But it takes all of us being aware of the issue that this world faces. More importantly it requires us to stop burying our heads in the sand and face some stark realities about the damage that our way of life causes. And knowing that there are better alternatives available but not using them doesn’t help.
